Vision
Our aim at Ebchester CE Primary School is to inspire curiosity to know and remember more bout the past.
We believe that History enables all children to delve deeper and make connections to the past and the world in which we live in now. Teaching provides children with the skills and resilience required to be a good historian. By the end of their time at Ebchester CE Primary School, pupils will be able to ask perceptive questions, think critically, weigh evidence, sift arguments and develop perspective and judgment. Enrichment activities are used to support children’s learning and deepen their knowledge.
Ebchester CE Primary School’s vision is that every child leaves with a deep chronological narrative and understanding of what has influenced and been influenced by the wider world. They will have a knowledge and understanding of significant aspects of the history of the wider world and the methods of historical inquiry. This level of understanding and increased confidence will enable pupils to become well-educated citizens within our society.
